@vibe_samurai: You can hear someone’s childhood in the way they apologize. Most of us never stopped to think about why we say sorry the way we do. Or why some people never say it at all. This one goes deep. If something in this video hit you and you want to understand where it came from — I do one on one Breakthrough Calls. Link in bio. I also go deeper on all of this on Substack. Link in bio. #psychology #emotionalintelligence #childhood #selfawareness #healing
I apologize a lot, not for any of these reasons. Most ppl we come in contact with a functioning in Ego so before it escalate I apologize, even if it's not my fault. In today's climate, humans are either functioning in their higher self or lower self.

I was raised to apologize profusely for my very existence so now I’m cognizant of apologizing only when a situation warrants it. Unfortunately, I’m surrounded by people who refuse to apologize, so at times when I’m severely wronged, I never receive the apology I deserve.

Type 1. And learning this made me very cognizant of how a true genuine apology sounds, what it means, where it comes from and its intent. If impact is more important than Intent when a mistake occurs, the intent of the apology needs to be Impactful when given, and followed up by Change.

I don’t know why but I prefer someone saying “I’m sorry” thank I apologize. The word apologize doesn’t feel authentic to me.

You missed the "I don't apologize because what is done is done, and if you harm people and feel bad about it, just fix things, otherwise, move on."

What about people who apologize sincerely but don’t really care. Maybe a combo?

The word sorry has lost its meaning. People throw it around like it’s a magic eraser, but it doesn’t undo the hurt, it doesn’t take back the words, and it doesn’t rewind time. If nothing changes after you say it, then sorry is just noise.
