Research is very expensive and takes a very long time and sometimes results in nothing. Non-infectious diseases are also very complex and brought on by a multitude of factors that we don’t understand yet. While I don’t agree with how pharmaceutical companies operate financially, they’re not hiding the cure to cancer or Alzheimer’s.
