as a girly who primarily holds her body fat in her arms, let me tell you ⬇️ for years i believed the trainers who said "just lift heavier and heavier! once you lose the body fat you'll look toned and defined in your arms!" and while that's technically true, the real goal for girls like us is to shrink the arm PERIOD. but here's the thing: we were dealt different cards than girls who don't store fat there, so we have to play them differently. let me explain. it's like the abs argument: someone who holds fat in their belly has to get to a really low body fat % to see rock hard 6 pack abs. possible, but hard and unsustainable. same idea with arms. but there are a few key differences 👇 1. our ab muscles can't grow much bigger, but our arm muscles can 2. you cannot spot reduce body fat 3. you CAN spot increase/reduce muscle 4. "bulky" is subjective: what i think is bulky might not be what you think is bulky here's the truth: us bigger arm girlies already want our arms smaller, so piling on muscle there (even at a normal body fat) keeps most of us at a size we still don't love. you'd have to be at an unsustainable body fat % to get "insanely toned" arms. so what did i do instead? i built JUST enough muscle for strength and a little definition without adding inches because our arms will always hold a bit more fat than other girls, and that's okay. i understand you girlies 🤍 if this triggers you, come to my page with an open mind first. this might be exactly the method you've been missing.
