what do you mean 87 is regular, in Europ 95 is the absolute minimum whiteout premium extra added

I thought all modern cars could do this? Just as long as that knock sensor is working properly, it can adjust ignition timing accordingly.

This has been a thing for like 25 years. Any car that takes premium can do this

Just made the math, and it’s incredible how “cheap” US gas prices are. 4.69$ a gallon means 1.07€ per liter. The “premium” in my country costs 2.09€ per liter, which means an equivalent gallon would cost 9.15$ 😳 Is 4.69$ expensive based on an average salary?

A lot of turbo vehicles do this by retarding the timing and compensating detonation variables.

I think I've put 87 in my mazda6 2.5t 2 or 3 times and I notice a difference in power and dont think it runs as good overall

Alex Smith :
Most cars such as Mazdas and fords and non performance vehicles that have small turbo motors can run 87 but is recommended to run premium for better performance and in hot weather or towing
