Spuds having the same colour it is so monotonous when you have to read what flavour it is. All we want from chips is that red packets are tomato for all brands, blue is salt and vinegar etc. That's a good idea really no need to read the beige package, we have no time.

Bravo Paul 👏🏾, what you are saying is very true. Alot of zim companies do not make the effort to invest in focus groups to really gauge reaction. An essential part of their market research. Which should be done on a regular basis. They just went straight to market. I know they were trying to gain relevance in the market and they definately got themselves noticed and a negative response. Spuds are a heritage brand. Right now they have incurred alot of sunk costs (branding and design) for something consumers do not appreciate. I have alot of questions and am dissapointed by the way they responded. Basically they are telling us they invested too much to look back now . 🤦 Something they could have been avoided if they simply had customer interaction like you say.
