Of course the Jesus of the Quran is different from the NT because the Quran is the Word of God but the NT is a collection of writings attributed to annonymous authors or scribes who were not eyewitnesses. MATHEW didnt write Mathew. The evidence for that is Mathew 9:9. As for the term Messiah, it is clearly mentioned in the holy Quran. See Surat 19.
