You’re missing the one very important difference of them. Honda CRV is an AWD SUV. The civic is only two wheel drive. If you live where it snows for 7 months out of the year. The price difference is worth it for the AWD.

My RAV4 doesn't ever scrape in parking lots, and in the winter, it gets me to work with minimal drama. I've got a motorcycle for pleasure.

I wanted to sit up higher so I got a suv I also wanted more trunk space. Civics are extremely fun to drive but they don’t have the space

I go camping 5-10 times a year. I'll keep my SUV thanks. I'm also 6'2" and don't fit in most sedans comfortably.
