As a non professional I do think popular music has changed in recent years in the sense of what can be used as a good sound bite for a TikTok / insta video vs songs that keep you ‘interested’ the whole way through … I.e why your dad is waiting for something to happen

One thing I love about Olivia Dean is she’s not a belter, her songs are kind of gentle and that’s the lovely thing. So I know what you mean about something happening, but her voice is so soothing, she doesn’t need anything else 😊
