@c5news: A violent fight erupted outside a toy store in southeast London on Friday, over a newly released Pokémon card. In footage circulating on social media, a group of men armed with bats, and what looks like a small crowbar, attack each other outside Smyths Toys Superstore on Old Kent Road. The group were fighting next to a large queue of people reportedly waiting to pick up the Pokémon 'Prismatic Evolution' trading card pack. Purchases were limited to one per person. The fight reportedly broke out over attempts to jump the queue, but police have not confirmed that. Police were called to the incident just before 9am and a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody. A spokesperson said they were called to reports that a group of men were “fighting with bats” and arrived at the scene within three minutes. No injuries were reported. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police. Commenters on the video said they were “worried to take my little girl to find Pokémon because of idiots like this”. Others said people needed to stop buying from resellers to “let this die down”.
