Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Tirana for the twelfth straight day on Thursday, rallying outside the Albanian Prime Minister's office in opposition to Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s $5 billion luxury resort development project. What began as an environmental protection campaign in response to the Trumps’ plan to build near Albania’s Vjosa-Narta protected area and on Sazan Island in the Mediterranean, has grown into a broader movement against corruption in Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government and for housing affordability and public services.
