The grate you have on is a bad design. Looks cool but as the clumps slide over it, it’s gonna break them apart a little and over time your fresh litter will have tiny, stinky litter in it. Just a straight grate would be better like so many other litter boxes out there

Why do you need bags? Can't you just use any type of trash bag? The dimensions don't seem to be strange.
