@ari2phil: One step closer to recovery! Detail got her stitches out and the wounds are healing SO nicely! She's still a little stiff, so now we work on getting her to move a little more, and most importantly work on an emotional recovery. She's still learning to trust. Every day that goes by I'm realizing this isn't just an emotional recovery for Detail, it's one for me as well. I just can't stop thinking about the pain she endured AND the fear she felt bolting out of her stall running for her life, without ME/her mama there with her. It absolutely shatters my heart and I cry at the thought of it every single time. Although I know this recovery for both Detail and I will make us stronger together, the process sure as hell is painful. 😞
