Totally WRONG! Removing the grass doesn’t kill trees, not properly irrigating them once grass is removed kills them. It’s lack of knowledge, NOT lack of grass.

You guys need to do research. People weren’t properly irrigating the trees and that’s why they died. That paid horrible landscapers that didn’t properly install enough drip irrigation to the plans.

It created a heat dome- and the water district- gave a tax exemption if you remove your grass for desert landscaping and last few years they now give trees for free to cool off our city

I have a small patch of turf in my little apartment yard and it’s just plastic feeling. It gets way too hot for my dog’s feet. It’s cooler on the cement than the turf. Its horrible

The thing is…Las Vegas proper is literally a meadow. Trees and grass flourish here. The astroturf is only in certain areas but the grass removal took place everywhere. My neighborhood is now a weird hybrid of gravel gardens and lush grass and olive trees. This whole situation is obnoxious.
