Modesty is a personal journey, and it’s important to acknowledge that taking a step—even if it isn't perfect—is still a step forward. That said, we shouldn't confuse someone's personal progress with the actual religious standard. While wearing a hijab with tight clothing is certainly a step in the right direction compared to not wearing one at all, we have to be careful not to redefine the term "Hijab" to accommodate immodest attire. We can absolutely respect and support everyone’s individual path without normalizing or spreading misconceptions that suggest the standard is anything less than it is. It is possible to honor the effort someone is making while still staying clear about what the principle of modesty actually entails.
