Yea this came up on MTV news at the time. A-lot of times the public rarely knows about initial songs, demos, even in this case the performance. Also the media and the A&R for this solely sold the Britney and Madonna kiss barely covered Christina.

🤣 JLo just can't share the spotlight. She is her own deity. It's total fine. She's built an entire empire on her ego nor was she remotely the next generation by any means not to age shame her we should all have the anti aging properties of Jlo even if there's been a little surgical help along the way. Madonna made the right choice. There just would have been one to many egos with JLo and I agree it was a whole passing of the torch kind of thing for Madonna. Britney and Christina were just more gracious personalities that were individually talented and more confident in their talents.
