Doctors dont get paid for prescriptions. Insurance co.panies get paid for prescriptions. Thats why doctors have to fight insurance companies to get certain medications approved-those dont have the same financial benefit

Pharma companies track Rx by prescriber. And then give best prescribing doctor certain benefits such as free traveling arrangements, expensive meals etc.

I work for an oral surgeon's office and have easily “sold” (explained treatment plans for) over 6 figures in dental implants. One time the manufacturer gave me an extra chapstick. 😂

im a med device rep and i once had a patient ask me how much i paid the doctor to rx my device. like dawg the doctor barely knows my name and will only let me buy him chickfila like once a year😭😭😭

This is true because when I told my doctor “hey doc the prescription you wrote me is not covered by my insurance and out of pocket it’s $600” and he went “fuck that” and filled paperwork for me to get it for free at the manufacturer.

Truth! The Endocrinologist I work for doesn't even let reps in the door for anything. She makes them drop there info off and unless it's a new pump update or thyroid treatment she throws it away.

Hospital gets paid when they write a script. My er visit was classed higher for the mere fact a script was given, which resulted in higher cost. it was for a lidocaine patch😡
