Brussels didn’t care much while export-import imbalances ware in its members advantage, then it was called globalisation, free trade and so on… As soon as China changed that into their own advantage, EU calls for protectionism. That is “rules based order” West keeps blabbing about, its the rules they set up and that benefit them, as soon as these rules stop giving them advantage, they can be scrapped.
