I live in a ridiculously small mountain town in western North Carolina. Yesterday my husband and I went to a blood drive at the park near our house to donate blood and it turns out there was a whole health fair. I work in referrals and authorizations for healthcare so I was LOVING meeting everyone and getting info. I was so happy and proud that we were able to get pride pins and bracelets and I am just so happy there was some little thing there doing this. My town also has an AMAZING locally owned shop that donates 20% of their earnings from a pride collection to scholarships for our towns kids. which is SO important in a town where the poverty rate is between 1/3 and 1/4. check out Sparta Candle Co!
