Um… no? The whole point is to remake the game for a modern audience. Not everyone has played the original. This is widely regarded as the best video game of all time, it’s not a remake to experiment with. I get adding quality of life updates and maybe expanding on some story beats but the finished product should more or less resemble a levelled up version of the original, not challenge the original with a twist. There are plenty of new Zelda games in the pipeline for what you’re looking for. This game isn’t for you. It’s about the people who are just getting into Zelda, and for the die hard fans of the original who have been dying to see it updated for decades.

I really agree with this. As much as I liked MGS Delta they literally remade the whole game and didn’t even change most of the voice acting. While I think FF7 being remade into a trilogy is kind of wild I think a middle ground like they did with Silent Hill 2 would be cool. I don’t want them splitting up Ocarina time into multiple games. We don’t need a single game just if Young Link.

Agreed, because both FF7 and Ocarina are both actually kind of mediocre and rosey glasses and the fog of nostalgia have blinded us for a long time. We deserve a better Ocarina of Time.
