We usually use frozen chicken nuggets from the store but once in a while I will make them homemade and they are good! Here is how I do it. Homemade Chicken Nuggets with Sweet & Sour Sauce Sweet & Sour Sauce Ingredients 1/2 cup apricot jam 2 tbs peach jam 2 tbs sugar 1/4 cup water 2 tbs white vinegar 1 tbs soy sauce 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp salt Instructions Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer. Remove from the heat and let cool. Chicken Nuggets Breading 2 cups breadcrumbs 1 cup flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp pepper Wet Batter 3 eggs 1/2 cup milk Chicken Mixture 1 lb ground chicken 1 egg 1/2 cup flour 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Oil, for frying Instructions Blend the breadcrumbs until very fine, then add to a bowl with the flour, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs with a splash of milk. Add all of the chicken mixture ingredients to another bowl and mix until combined. Lightly oil your hands and form the chicken mixture into nuggets. Dip each nugget into the dry mixture, then the wet mixture, then back into the dry mixture. Fry in preheated oil over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Serve with the sweet & sour sauce.
