Space based data centers is infeasible. How do you cool in a vacuum? You need to radiate the heat away. It is highly inefficient to do so, you would need so much surface area. It would take 1 square meter to radiate 250-350watts of energy.

The problem with the data centers is, we do not have the grid to support the electricity demand. There are blackouts and brownouts throughout the country. Factor in bad weather and more EV usage and the grid is even more compromised. This and as society becomes increasingly dependent on electricity. Electricity will become an expensive commodity and more of a luxury than an everyday function of a typical household. This is a classic example of technology running ahead of sustainability. There has to be balance and an intelligent migration from one energy source to another.
