You let them grow. Then instead of selling and triggering taxes, you borrow against them when you need liquidity. That’s why I think a lot of people misunderstand how wealth actually gets protected. The goal is not always to “take profit.” Sometimes the smarter move is keeping the asset intact and accessing cash without interrupting the compounding. That’s a very different mindset.
