@vocaldecoding: Most singers never discover what's actually wrong with their voice. They just get better at compensating for it. Compensatory muscles are usually much stronger than the muscles and the coordination that we actually need for singing. The more we use compensatory muscles to help us get a note, make a pitch, stylize or do anything that we can't do properly, we overpower the proper coordination. Once we do that, the proper coordination will atrophy. So at some point, we have to refuse to use compensatory muscles so that we can isolate and strengthen the proper cordination that we need to sing great. That can be a scary thing, but you got to do it. #singingtips #voiceteacher #vocaltechnique #singersongwriterartist #singinglessons @Vocal Decoding
