@theobserveruk: Did the toxic chef at the 'World's Best Restaurant' 'fake' resignation? Noma, the most influential restaurant of the past 25 years, has ridden the wave of controversy over its owner-founder René Redzepi by giving him a new job title. Redzepi’s 'resignation' less than three months ago followed a New York Times report in which he was accused, between 2009 and 2017, of physically and emotionally abusing colleagues. Redzepi released a statement saying that after much reflection and after 23 years, he was going to step away from the restaurant. But as it turns out, he's not really stepped away from the restaurant. Read the full investigation by Xavier Greenwood at the link in bio.
I’ve never once understood the hype of this place.

Literally sounds like 95% of kitchens up and down the uk, literally a times 100 top place to work and a restaurant chain you’ve highlighted as one of the best restaurants to work has a history of abuse. Hospitality is built on abuse - times have changed , old heads haven’t

1st, we chose to be there for free, working 17 hour days, it launched so many careers. 2nd, of Noma cannot be separated form Renee, and these accusations stem form 2018 and before, all from chefs who’s careers were launched off the back of Renee.
