It makes me insanely mad how they never mention this ever again in the series.

This whole scene basically shows why Melvin’s experiments were completely pointless.

Lowkey wish the cdc part was longer it was cool and I wanted to learn other stuff about the virus but you can only do so much with the budget they had

I always wondered why nobody in the group ever told that scientist in Woodbury how the virus worked. They saw it right here, they knew pretty much everything the scientist wanted to know and no one said a thing to try and help him or teach him “hey there’s no way of coming back everything’s gone except the stem”.

Still doesn’t explain how they’re able to move after rigor mortis or decades of muscle and tendon and nerve decay I think it’s magic

personally if I was shown something this crazy, I wouldn’t shut up about it. I don’t know how or why none of the living members of the group didn’t tell other people this.

if it was only the brain stem activating, they wouldn't be able to see or hear or smell due to a lack of key areas like the occipital lobe and olfactory bulb, as well as a lack of activity from the thalamus interacting with the neocortex for processing of all sensory data besides smell, they wouldn't be able to move or be motivated for feeding through dopaminergic pathways. I know this is a fictional show, but I hate when TV shows try to act like the audience are idiots

For those wondering it came from a lab in France where they were experimenting on humans and it became airborne; meaning no matter how you died you’d come back. It’s explained in one of the TWD spin offs

At first when I watched the show when I was little I was so scared to watch the walking dead until this episode explain why they call them walkers. Then fear the walking dead first aired that was much scary because nobody wasn’t talking about it I was still fighting to watch them both a second time around just had to confront my fears

Not canon btw. Nothing like that ever happens in the comics. But the show stop being canon accurate after they spend more than 1 episode near the city

actually This is someone dying while having an MRI scan. Before you die, your brain releases tons and tons of endorphines that make you feel a range of emotions. Tragically beautiful.
