Liz that is so thoughtful of you. I too am a govt employee, and unfortunately it is true. We as govt employees can't accept any gifts. best workaround is for someone like her partner to purchase and "share" them with her.

As a life long government employee…yep. Twenty odd years ago, offer me a couple of tickets for some event he was putting on. I had to turn them down. And yes, trust me, I’m fully aware of the ridiculousness of me not being able to accept $50 tickets while there’s this plane that was gifted…
