My Sicilian grandmother moved from an Ohio farm to join her siblings by running a sewing machine in NY. An introduction was made to my Grandfather; a pharmacist.She married. Left the garment industry, and raised 2 sons. All while working with my grandfather to keep his pharmacy on Motts St. complete with fountain service. When they sold it, and "retired" to LI she took another job doing piece work. My grandfather was like if she's working, I should too, and he took a position as a Pharm for the county worked till 72.

god im lucky to have a good wife! idk what roles of women are but realtionships are teamwork. i work 75hrs dont worry about anything at home unless something breaks

the only thing i think needs to comeback from the 18 and 19 hundreds is the style, the architecture, clothing. a tweed vest with a shirt and tie, blazer in the fall and winter. men and women should wear them, and interchange obviously. but yeah the fashion and style were better, not the strict social rules that never fully made sense
