this movie has made me realize that at the end i do want to live like him. simple, quiet, and routinely doing things that i love: like him, i'm into reading/book collecting, film photography, and listening to physical copies of music. but, alas, i'm just a 22 yr old girl living in a not-so-rich country, trying to survive and help my family. i don't even want to be ultra wealthy. just to have enough money to fund my simple, quiet life.

yg gua tangkap dari film ini dan gua orang yg hampir sama posisinya, dia orang yg pendiam tapi bukan berarti anti sosial.. dia memperhatikan hal kecil yg artinya setiap hubungan sekecil apapun adalah hal yg besar baginya, namun bertubi tubi semua meninggalkannya hilang dari kehidupannya, yg akhirnya di ending semua meruntuhkan hatinya..

when I was in my 20’s, I find these kind of movies really boring and I would not get it why directors make these kinds of film. Now I’m 35, these are the kind of films that I really love - something that is humanizing, something that is very real, something that touches not just your heart but your soul.

i've reserved a special place in my heart for this film, the importance of recognising and appreciating small moments in the busyness of life is so important to me. i'm really in love with films that make you feel as though you know the character, getting to witness the reality of their lives, absorbing the details, it's so interesting. i recommended the film to my parents and ended up re-watching it with them, they mentioned the film a handful of times for a while. it stuck with them and i'm glad about that.
