My mom has bad gums. She is pushing 90 and going strong. Please stop fear mongering. Yes take care of your teeth but receding gums can be managed and stabilized. Doesn’t mean you are at higher risk of dementia.

Dr. Ellie Phillips :
I really hope you will start recommending your patients brush with granular xylitol on top of their toothpaste - hopefully regular Crest cavity protection. Least expensive and simplest basic way to limit periodontal disease …… try it

After $60k, I’ve got an all-on-6 (one which failed after 2 yrs), another implant on bottom molar and a 6-tooth bridge on lower fronts. Take care of your teeth, peeps!!

Implants are the best, you get a crown and the have replace crown after a few years and your up to the price of implants, if start with implants you are one and done for life

Correlation does not equal causation. Why hasn’t this been debunked yet? Pretty simple, those that take care of their teeth are more likely to live a healthier life style.
