I live in London and have a car. I walk 90% of the time with my son but I still can drive out to play dates etc whenever I need to. Walkable cities doesn't mean banning cars, just that you don't need a car to do anything.

Moroccan suburbias have a lot of retail within the single family houses, people utilise their garages for businesses and that combined with pre made retail and amenities it's super easy to live

My town was made in 1850 and most of the sidewalks and roads are original so it’s really walkable where I am

In the Netherlands i can literally walk to the city centre in 15 minutes and have all my shops that I would need and if I need to go further I can just take the bus and if I want to go to another city I would take the metro (which is more like a small train since it's on the outside of the city and connects multiple cities).
