my current job told me the first time i interviewed that they would keep my resume on filed. they did. i got called in a few months later and got the job then!

What if they said we went with another candidate however you were one of the top applicants and we would love to keep your resume on hand for future openings. It was a small private dentist, does that sound sincere?

I only tell people I’m keeping their resume on file if I really mean it. There have been many times where only one position is open but I really liked multiple candidates.
