I’ve spent enough time understanding myself to know that I feel more alive when I’m independent, focused, and free from expectations that come with emotional attachment. Love has never been something I chase, because I believe not every person is meant to build their life around romance. Some people dream about forever with someone else — I dream about building myself, protecting my peace, and living life on my own terms. I don’t hate love, and I don’t think relationships are meaningless. I know they can be beautiful, deep, and important for many people. But for me, I’ve always felt more connected to my own path than to the idea of belonging to someone. I enjoy silence, personal space, and the freedom to make choices without feeling tied to expectations or emotional dependence. I’d rather have honesty than force feelings, and I’d rather be alone than stay somewhere that doesn’t truly fit who I am. People sometimes think being alone means being lonely, but those are not the same thing. Being alone can mean knowing yourself, growing without limits, and finding peace without needing constant attention or validation. I don’t need a romantic story to feel complete. I find meaning in goals, experiences, memories, and becoming stronger with time. Maybe one day I’ll meet someone who changes my perspective, or maybe I won’t — and both possibilities are okay. I don’t close doors, but I also don’t run after them. Until then, I’ll keep choosing my own company, protecting my energy, and walking my own road.
