If your subfloor is concrete there’s no way to lower the floor without major construction. So a raised ledge is the way to go.

tiles shelves are dangerous for slippery areas so it a no half wall or full wall the water is not leaving the bath area because of the glass covering, definitely no need to dig the floor

You forgot to mention the window in the shower. Worst decision to make as the wood frame around will rott and build mold in the walls with time.
