Did Beirut just pull off an In-N-Out dupe?! When this place popped up on my feed, I didn’t even think twice… I had to try it. It’s been forever since I had the real deal in California, and since then I’ve even tried a dupe in Saudi. Now Lebanon has one too, and I was curious to see how it stacked up. We ordered: 🍔 The 2x2 🍟 Cali Fries + Fresh Cut Fries I was a little hesitant about the 2x2, but thanks to Sal’s recommendation, it ended up being the right choice. The patties are smash-style, thin but beautifully seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The sauce was on point, the bun was soft yet held everything together, and I loved the fresh onion. The only thing I would have wanted differently, was crispy lettuce in the burger from start to finish. Now fries… I know coleslaw in burgers is a Lebanese thing, so this would have been the inspo for their signature fries, but it’s not my favorite combo. If I could rewind, I’d grab the Chili Cheese Fries instead. But honestly, the plain ones were crispy, hot and golden, and really hit the spot for me. Oh, and the fresh pepper that comes with every burger - brilliant. The pepper juice literally shot out and landed perfectly on my burger like it was meant to be. I only realized after leaving that they do milkshakes too… so I guess that just means I’ll be back.
