We shot our indie film using a vintage pantyhose filter that was from a guy we were told AC’d on Spielberg movies. Beyond being obsessed with the look it has given us, that little fun fact was what led us to do more research into this thing and stumble into the rabbit hole that is custom lens diffusion. We thought it would be cool to be able to share this with other filmmakers, cinematographers and photographers, so after doing a bunch of research, some trial and error, and sourcing rare pantyhose, we’ve actually started making them ourselves and have them up for sale. Also the main thing we do on this page is talk about our process making a super low budget independent film with just the two of us, hoping to break it down and be somewhat helpful to other filmmakers.
