The reason trendelenburg is no longer used because it tricks your body into believing it is no longer hypotensive. So the compensatory mechanism stops, causing worsening hypotension.

The dirtier it is the more I'll remember it. I'm taking micro and we were going over how to properly store the petri dish all I could think was head down ass up (leave container upside down to prevent condensation pooling) and the girl next to me loved it and remebered it that way on the quiz 🤣🤣🤣

We never do the trendelenburg because it compresses the chest against the lungs
