My "mom" sat up in the house my dad built for her, abused her children and her husband, spent thousands on QVC and the stock market, and then lost her mind when she realized the money was gone. Instead of owning up to it, she blamed a hacker. She made my brother and dad keep their phones in a lock box in the woods and regularly turned off the wifi. When she was asked (calmly) where the money was, she threw all my dads things out and told him she was going to burn them. She also used her nails to create gashes on the sides of his face and behind his ears. He fled the house with very little of his possessions. She then went and filed for a protection order, claiming my father was violent and also filed for divorce. My dad was legally not allowed to be on the property. She started a smear campaign againt my dad to anyone who would listen to make him look like a monster. She and her sister, Vickie, spent months harassing my dad. They went to where he was staying and yelled at him. After a while of this, he went out of state. While he was gone, they broke into his place and stole the titles to the camper and the boat. Court kept being continued between my "mom" having her first lawyer fire her and her refusal to allow the house to be seen. She wouldn't give the realtor a key and was nowhere to be found every time it was supposed to be shown. When they finally gained access to the house, they saw that water had been applied to all the hardwood floors and cabinets. This greatly decreased the value of the house. She also took all my dads sentimental belongings and/or destroyed them. She smashed priceless ceramics made by my grandmother. She went for the things she knew he loved the most. Finally, after 3 years, they are divorced. This is the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE that I am seeing this absolute waste of oxygen see consequences to her actions. I am very hopeful that this streak will continue to her criminal charges for firing into my dad's residence while he was inside. Edited to add: myself and my siblings were also harassed during the duration of this process. She drove by my house constantly, screamed at me accusing me of stealing her dog, sent my sister extremely messed up messages, slashed my brother's tired multiple times, and stole his mail the day of the final hearing. Let's also not forget the day I had to rush Bluey to the vet because he was showing signs of ingesting something poisonous to him. She is the most vile person I have the misfortune of knowing. She is also, unfortunately, my mother. Not in my darkest place would I ever subject my children, or anyone for that matter, to what she has subjected all of us to.
