My husband was a stay at home dad for a while when our oldest was having health issues and couldn't go to any childcare places. It amazed me how good at it he was. The kids were 1, 2, and 3. I would come home kids would be bathed, fed, and happy. House was clean, yard was mowed, my plate was ready to eat, pajamas and towel ready for me to shower. He did trips to park, pool, they went fishing at least once a week. He kept up with their doctors appointments. They learned to work on vehicles and how to make moms favorite dessert. It was like this for about 2 years. I learned from him that I do overthink things. I worried to much that things wouldnt work out. I packed things for every scenario that might go wrong when it was very unlikely to happen. I am still guilty of overthinking things even 10 years later but I make it a goal to not let it complicate our days. I have never been a stay at home mom so I am not saying "its easy" I am saying my husband made it look easy and taught me some things about myself along the way.

Former heavy equipment tech here… I’m in the middle of filing for disability and can’t work, so now I’m a stay at home dad with a 10 year old daughter and a 3 month old son. I mean yeah it has its moments where it can be rough but this shit is a breeze if I’m being honest.

Working 12 hours shifts 6 days a week as an ER nurse for a year and a half was easier than being a sahm💀 I mean, I could do a crappy job and it would be easy I guess.

I think we are forgetting that everyone's mindset is different. What's hard for one is easy for another? Some find a deeper purpose in staying home; others feel empowered by working.
