@newzroom405: Funeral services provider Icebolethu Group wants to set the record straight on allegations linking the company to the disappearance of church leader Thami Nkonyane’s body. Nkonyane, who dedicated more than four decades to the Christian Catholic Apostolic Holy Spirit Church in Zion, also known as the eNyonini Mission, died last month. He was supposed to be buried last Saturday. However, the Pietermaritzburg High Court halted the funeral after the family alleged that the coffin contained bricks instead of his body. Police are investigating a case of fraud, while relatives say they have identified what they believe is a shallow grave on church property and are desperately seeking permission to exhume the remains. Newzroom Afrika’s Lethuxolo Nxumalo reports.
