I have a diagnose of PTSD from trauma in my childhood, it’s very tough especially when I feel this at times, it raised it ugly head few months back after me and my family experienced a house fire, but i felt all the emotions and allowed myself to feel it instead of suppressing, I spoke about what it mentally did to me, I could hear fire alarms everytime I went to sleep would wake in a panic, I would smell fire I was so sure it was happening again. Some nights this still happens but I remind myself it’s not happening anymore. 🤍
