You could literally just dispute all of this on your credit report. It would be very easy to prove it wasn’t you?

He shouldn’t need to sue or do anything. There should have been due diligence from the creditors. We need common sense clauses!

This is why in the UK our version of a social security number called a National Insurance Number is given to the child at 15-16 years old. Its given to the child’s school and the school will hand deliver it. This prevents fraud as parents can’t access it before the child is aware of it. In addition the hand delivery ensures should the child want to they can keep it private from their parents.

You're Wrong :
Its also a pretty simple call to the credit bureau to report the fraud (dont have to say who it was), and that you were 2 and 10 when these happened, so thats pretty simple evidence. THEY should be correcting that immediately.

I feel like the companies that she put the social on should be somewhat at fault.... like you're telling me they don't have a legal obligation to turn down these things to a person who is 2 years old?

Don’t evictions and unpaid collections fall off your credit after seven years?

surely they should have checks in place to stop this before it happens, or can a 2 year old in the US be evicted, and have a repo at 10?

My mom did this. I didn't know until I went to apply for my first credit and was denied. Sometimes your parents when you're a kid and your parents once you're an adult is a totally different relationship.

But when was this taken? Both evictions and repos comeboff your credit report after 7 years. Clearly this is staged
