I feel you 😔 Dealing with fools will drain your spirit faster than hard work. The Bible even has a whole book on it - Proverbs. *HOW TO DEAL WITH FOOLS WITHOUT LOSING YOURSELF:* *1. Don’t argue on their level* Proverbs 26:4 - “Don’t answer a fool according to his folly, or you’ll be like him.” Foolish people want drama, not solutions. If you go back and forth, you’re now 2 fools. Drop it. Silence is a weapon. *2. Guard your peace like money* Fools are energy vampires. They gossip, complain, start fights for attention. Limit access. Reply late. Keep conversations short. “Hmm, okay” ends 90% of nonsense. Your peace > proving them wrong. *3. Don’t expect wisdom from them* You can’t get water from a dry well. Stop explaining yourself to people who decided not to understand. Stop waiting for “sorry” or “I get it now” from someone foolish. You’ll just get hurt. *4. Answer with wisdom when you MUST* Proverbs 26:5 - “Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.” Translation: Sometimes you have to shut it down so they don’t mislead others. Be brief, be factual, no emotion. “That’s false. The facts are X. I’m done here.” Then walk away. *5. Choose your circle wisely* “You become like the 5 people closest to you.” If your friends are fools, you’ll start acting like one. Surround yourself with people who fear God, think, and build. Iron sharpens iron. *6. Pray for them, but keep distance* Jesus said “Love your enemies.” That doesn’t mean invite them to your house. Pray: “God, give them wisdom.” Then create boundaries. Love from far. Matthew 7:6 - “Don’t throw pearls to pigs.” *7. Remember: Their foolishness is not your assignment* You’re not Jesus + their therapist + their parent. You can’t fix grown adults. Release it. God is the judge. Focus on growing YOUR spirit instead. *Real talk:* Fools will always exist. Bosses, relatives, classmates. You can’t avoid them. But you CAN choose not to become one trying to deal with them. Your spirit grows when you master your reactions, not when you master them. What kind of “fool” situation is draining you most right now? A coworker, family, online troll? Talk to me. I’ll help you figure the right response 💙
