Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek, Navajo. Paper genocide and reclassification was happening around this time. American Indians were now forced to be called “Negro or Black”…many kept calling themselves what they were but some started hiding the fact they were indigenous because it was a way of protection or hiding from the American gov’t. The American gov’t was simultaneously selling the Native/Indigenous ethnicity for $5 to white ppl to live on the reservations. It was called The $5 Indian Act.

Dr umar is doing the same thing. I support lots of what he says and stands for except the pan africanism he pushes so hard. Which makes me think he’s also a plant. Mix the truth with the lie. It’s the best way to put our people in chains.

My dad was also born in 1926 and my mother 1925. That term African American used to anger my father. He said, "we was already here and we ain't no damn Africans, we don't know nothing about no damn Africa and never met any Africans." My grandparents also on both maternal and parternal are Indians. Our Ancestors always knew who we are.

Dr. Umar always praises Marcus Garvey too, know I’m wondering if this is why. You are onto something here.

My grandfather told me when I was 16. Doing research for a school project when ROOTS came out. My maternal grandmother was born in 1902, granddaddy in 1906…. I did not understand until many decades later. Naturally, through education & indoctrination, ignorance, I became Afrocentric for a few decades. It was hard to accept that Garvey was part of their strategy… ❤️🩹⚖️🪷💚🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽

I remember when I was a little girl I was about 8 years old and I was going to private school so you know they were teaching me the white supremacy type stuff. I remember one day I told my daddy "we ain't Indian" and he looked at me, he stared me in my eyes, and he said yes we are
