I honestly really liked both, but I think original Ruby seemed more like an ally. I believed she was on their side. Gen’s Ruby seemed evil pretty early on. Which I assume is just the writing. But could be the acting too.

No shade to Genevieve on a personal level at all and I’m glad her casting led to her meeting Jared…but DANG, this was a downgrade. I loved Katie as Ruby, she did a great job and it would have been interesting to see her acting skills applied to Ruby’s arc in the subsequent season.
