President John Dramani Mahama has officially commissioned a state-of-the-art Steel Ball Mill and Section Mill Manufacturing Plant by B5 Plus Group, describing the investment as a bold step in Ghana's industrial transformation and a significant boost to the 24-Hour Economy agenda. The new facility substantially enhances Ghana's capacity to produce structural steel sections, grinding media balls for the mining sector, pre-engineered building (PEB) systems, and a range of heavy industrial structures, including warehouses, tankers, trailers, and factory systems. Speaking at the commissioning on Friday, February 20, President Mahama emphasized the importance of industrial self-reliance, noting that reducing steel imports by even 20 to 30 percent annually could save Ghana hundreds of millions of dollars.
