For the first time since I started using Claude a year ago, I ran into a weekly limit using Fable 5 and Cowork. It was SO much better than anything I’ve ever used. I think it was too good for the other LLMs and the competitors freaked out. Happily I got a lot of work done before that time. It’s going to be hard going back.

I smell market manipulation. There is a precedent established with the existing administration. Since they’re looking to buy a stake in OpenAI, making Anthropic look like a risky bet prior to the IPO they’re hoping will move more people to OpenAI, driving up value.

The reason is that people are using US AI models to create businesses which compete with US companies. That is the main reason for suspending Fable 5.
