the gel was dried, so there wouldn't be any contact with the machine and the patient. they took it to the lady in the end and she understood, but reprimanded violet for talking back at her saying that she didn't liked being disrespected

it is still good practice to attach an AED when there is no pulse. It can provide valuable instructions and inducate if a rythm is re-established.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but defibrillation is only used for shockable rhythms, not simply because a patient is pulseless. If the patient is unconscious, unresponsive, and has no vital signs, wouldn't the rhythm first need to be identified before delivering a 200 J/360 J shock? Whould this not just destroy their heart?

ive seen this before- I think the issue was something with the pads. like the gel in them had dried up or something and wasnt delivering the shock to body despite the machine firing correctly to the pad

It was the coating on the fib pads. The connection between the pads and his chest was dry because the manufacturer used cheap materials and couldn’t be bothered with a recall
