The cold air from the AC will not damage your battery however, sticking your phone on your dash where the sun is beating down on it will expand your battery and damage it. It can also overheat your phone to where the sealant glue starts to melt and it comes apart.

My car has a charging station in it (came with the car) a cubby hole that stays cold. like the surface of the cubby hole is always cold to stop my phone from overheating. the 17 inch infotainment center makes everything on my phone accessible like a tablet. it's a 2025 Chevy traverse.

Ac saves my phone it literally says battery to hot then I put on the ac and it works regular
