@wilderness_font141: The collapse of the techno-industrial system is inevitable, and it is so because the system requires constant expansion and increasing complexity to function, which will ultimately lead to its own demise through disastrous resource depletion or environmental and social breakdown. The system itself is driven by relentless autonomous growth which can never be subject to rational human control due to its complexity. Any attempt to "fix" the system or any comprimise between technological progress and the environment will be short-term and destined to fail. The larger and more globally interconnected the system grows, the more brittle it becomes. The longer the system continues to expand, the more disastrous and catastrophic its eventual collapse will be. Therefore, a collapse happening sooner with the help of a revolution rather than later would result in a "lesser disaster" that leaves enough of the natural world intact for human survival.
