As someone who loves to analyze media, I hated this movie. It feels like the kind of movie that was made to get awards by making some social commentary that only “smart people” will understand, but fails to actually entertain the audience. All it did was throw together confusing and outrageous plot elements until giving an even more outrageous explanation. There were so many plot holes and half baked ideas; and it felt so out of touch from the actual world we live in. Hollywood doesn’t seem to understand that movies can be meaningful and be entertaining at the same time, and this movie is a prime example of that,

Im being honest, I payed attention to this movie becuase I watch a lot of small detailed and attention focused movies, I loved it personally. I got the message of human empathy is needed for all as well as the allegory of the government hiding things from the public. The acting was great, but I do have some gripes. The second half was kinda just car chase filler action. As well as thr random abilities that just happen. But I also liked the ending it feels very real to how most would react to the news aliens are real. overall 7/10 movie. not perfect but its a movie for sure
